Designing
First meeting with my client:
The main focus of my first meeting with my client was to get photos and basic information. Claire gave me a leaflet she has made which not only gives me vital information about the business but also shows me the type of theme she has in her business style. Claire didn't have a specific idea of what she wanted her website to look like so I'm going to make some templates for her. Within our first meeting I took my dogs to get groomed fortunately my older dog sat still and I was able to get lot's of good photos of the whole process. Whereas my younger dog became slightly distressed and I had to leave the room meaning I was unable to get any photos. Claire informed me that a lot of dogs act up when other people are in the room which means I'm unlikely to get any other photos of Claire working.
In my next meeting with Claire I will get her to decide which template she likes better and what things she'd like to change. Personally I prefer the first as it's the most interesting to look at as well as seeming professional.
I got feedback from my people in my class and although I didn't have much to look at yet the feedback all agreed that my sites looked professional and well laid out.
Although I hadn't heard any feedback from Claire I decided to start to develop my templates further.
Template 1:
The layout is very basic as I just wanted to start each page rather than fully develop them so that i can just get an idea of how my website will look overall.
I really like the layout of this page but I'm not sure if my client will want online booking because from our meeting she said that appointments vary on temperament and breed of the dog.
To develop this page further I will add the google location.
Template 2:
The service page is very clean, easy to use and read however to improve I would add more information to each service.
I feel as though the contact page is very well developed already it looks professional and is easy to understand to a viewer.

First Progress Update:

Email Exchange:
I sent Claire screen shots of my websites over email asking which she preferred out of my templates and her opinion on each. Overall Claire liked the 1st and 3rd template which means I'm going to focus on them two and keep developing them until Claire has one she prefers. Claire also mentioned she wanted to keep the website very simple and allow her clients to be able to easily contact. Furthermore I asked what tabs she would like on her website and she said that the ones I had were good.
Second Progress Update:
Template 1:
I decided to change my service page because my client would prefer bookings go through her rather than the website. However it still needs developing so that it will look more professional.
In this session I added the location to my website this allows viewers to easily locate the business and also adds a sense of credibility to the website.
Template 3:
The service page looks professional and pleasing to the eye however to develop it further I think photos would give the viewer more information about the service.
Second Meeting:
In this meeting with Claire I wanted her to pick a website design from the two she narrowed it down to in the emails. Deciding that template one was the best for her and her customers which I agreed with, it's a simple but professional design. My client also told me about another qualification she has and also picked some photos she would like added to the gallery. I also asked Claire if she wouldn't mind writing a short paragraph about why she started dog grooming.
